Dear Wigleaf,
Some storms are worth the effort, so long as you're properly insulated. Last winter, there was a big one that hit the Northeast where my partner and I live. After climbing into coats and boots, we hiked through the drifts to a nearby park. The sky was dark and heavy, and icy air bit at our faces. I realized how much I'd missed the crunch of snow underfoot.
In the middle of the whirling storm, Michael lay down on his back, legs raised. I put his feet on my hips, and up I went. In acroyoga, this is called the bird pose.
Flying in storms is the best.
I hope this finds you warm and well.
With gratitude, always,
Michelle
