Dear Wigleaf,

Recently, I had dinner with a woman I didn't know well who had two grown children. When the kids were teenagers her son, husband, and she consistently shared the master bathroom, while their daughter used the second one. She asked the boy why he didn't use the 'kids' bathroom, and he said it was because he couldn't stand the scents.

When the family was to travel to a nearby city for a few days, the daughter insisted on taking two suitcases, one with clothing and another with large economy-sized containers of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and body wash in three different scents. She insisted she needed to bring them because she didn't know which scent she'd want to wear until she woke each morning. I keep thinking about it.

Cheers,

Suzanne C Martinez
