Dear Wigleaf,
Have you, like me, been worrying that you're nearly one with your computer
lately? It's easy enough to believe when you're used to seeing you and
everyone you know flattened on a screen so that we all look like we're
imprisoned in the Phantom Zone.
But I recently learned that our computers are facing their own very
relatable crisis. My work Slack was lit up with messages about a
near-universal IT problem we were having. The answer we were given about its
cause was more existential than it was technical: "The clock on your laptop
is drifting from actual time, and it will get worse the longer you are out
of the office."
It is discomfortingly comforting to know that my stolid comrade and I have
each other as we float further away in time and space from our old lives.

Chandra
