Dear Wigleaf,

Last Sunday I drove past a porcupine on the side of the road. A wild porcupine! This was in Maine, in case you were wondering where you could go to have the same experience. One time in Florida, I was in the passenger seat looking out the window and saw a zebra in a field. I said, "Look! A zebra!" but my friend was driving too fast, and by the time she turned her head to see, it was too late for her to believe me.

I've seen lots of cool animals while driving, some believable, some unbelievable, all true, though. A moose in Colorado. A fox with a bunny hanging out of its mouth in Rhode Island. A swooping owl in California! That one was my favorite. It flew right in front of my windshield at dusk while a full moon was rising. How magical can you get? Oh, and the monkey in Massachusetts! I was stuck in traffic when I noticed a monkey moving around in his crate through the rear window of the van in front of me. There was a website printed near the bumper. I looked it up when I got home and found out the monkey's name was Coco.

I'm not in my car right now. I actually hate driving. Maybe the animals know this, so they show up to make my day. Maybe I'm like Snow White when I'm trilling in my car.

I miss you.

Love,
Marisela
