Honeymoon Edward Mullany
He found a transistor radio washed up on the beach and showed it to
her, because she was interested in those things; not transistor radios
in general, but items that were thrown away or lost. "See if it works,"
she said. He already knew it didn't work, because he'd tried it when
he'd found it, before he'd shown it to her, but he tried it again
anyway, knowing that when it still didn't work she'd at least have
witnessed him doing what she thought he needed to do.
Edward Mullany's fiction has appeared in or is forthcoming from
Alaska Quarterly Review, New Ohio Review, Hobart, Word Riot and others.
