Dear Wigleaf,

When you realize that it has taken you longer to try to format your dissertation than it did to write the introduction, give up on finishing it on Friday night, make a pineapple-upside-down cake and watch Planet of the Apes with your eight-year old.

It kind of looks like a sore, but it tasted fine—I made it old-school, in the skillet, with maraschino cherries.
