Hi Wigleaf:

I have been making these cookies a lot lately.

Combine 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking soda, 2 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla, 2 sticks of butter and 3/4 cups each of brown and white sugars in a bowl. Mix in 2 1/2 cups of flour. Don't go too fast, then it's like working with aged Play-Doh. Be sure to scrape the sides of the bowl. Eventually, use hands. Mix in 1 package of chocolate chips and some crumbled bacon from breakfast. Put bowl in fridge for 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 350. Check email. Take bowl out of fridge, roll dough into eyeball sized pieces. Put eyeballs on ungreased cookie sheet, and then in the oven. Return bowl to fridge. Check email again. Expand usual online employment search to the entire state. Cookies are done when you find a posting for a marketing communications manager, located seventy miles away. Take out first batch. Roll more eyeballs, and think about running out of dough.

Ever onward,

E
